El professor de F\u00edsica de l\u2019EUSS Antoni P\u00e9rez-Navarro ha liderat un estudi que mostra l\u2019efectivitat de l\u2019\u00fas de v\u00eddeos per millorar el rendiment acad\u00e8mic de l\u2019alumnat d\u2019assignatures cient\u00edfiques i t\u00e8cniques, en particular, en l\u2019assignatura de f\u00edsica. \u00abEl v\u00eddeo ajuda que l\u2019alumne pugui entendre millor les coses a mesura que va estudiant\u00bb, assenyala. \u00c9s un refor\u00e7 per recuperar els detalls que se li han escapat durant la classe, i \u00e9s important que \u00abl\u2019hagi preparat el seu professor o professora\u00bb, perqu\u00e8 l\u2019alumnat valora la personalitzaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n

L\u2019EUSS utilitza els v\u00eddeos en els seus graus d\u2019enginyeria de forma regular des de fa anys. L\u2019Antoni P\u00e9rez-Navarro, que tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s membre del grup de recerca Internet Computing & Systems Optimization (ICSO), de l\u2019Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) i dels Estudis d\u2019Inform\u00e0tica, Multim\u00e8dia i Telecomunicaci\u00f3 (EIMT) de la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), els va comen\u00e7ar a introduir en l\u2019assignatura de f\u00edsica el 2007.<\/p>\n

En aquell moment, una pe\u00e7a de dos minuts li suposava moltes hores de preparaci\u00f3, per\u00f2 despr\u00e9s d\u2019experimentar amb diferents t\u00e8cniques i formats, com tauleta, tauleta digitalitzadora, captura de pantalla amb un document, bol\u00edgraf enregistrador, ha donat amb el model que millor s\u2019adapta a les necessitats de l\u2019aprenentatge, alhora que \u00e9s relativament senzill de crear pel docent: el v\u00eddeo amb les mans, en qu\u00e8 es graven les mans del professor fent l\u2019explicaci\u00f3, i nom\u00e9s cal la c\u00e0mera del tel\u00e8fon m\u00f2bil i un micr\u00f2fon.<\/p>\n

El professor explica que els v\u00eddeos no nom\u00e9s contribueixen a millorar el rendiment acad\u00e8mic, sin\u00f3 que, curiosament, incideixen en una major assist\u00e8ncia a les classes. \u00abQuan enllestia els v\u00eddeos, els passava als estudiants, abans de la classe. Es podria esperar que no hi anessin, per\u00f2 l\u2019efecte va ser el contrari, fins i tot entre les persones amb una assist\u00e8ncia m\u00e9s err\u00e0tica\u00bb. Aquest efecte es donava tamb\u00e9 en altres assignatures en qu\u00e8 el professorat incorporava els v\u00eddeos.<\/p>\n

Els beneficis associats a aquesta pr\u00e0ctica van portar l\u2019EUSS a muntar un laboratori per a la creaci\u00f3 de v\u00eddeos, i espec\u00edficament adaptat per facilitar la gravaci\u00f3 de v\u00eddeos d\u2019explicacions amb les mans.<\/p>\n

L\u2019escola universit\u00e0ria est\u00e0 preparant nous projectes per a l\u2019aprofundiment en la f\u00f3rmula audiovisual, que es posaran en marxa tan bon punt s\u2019estabilitzi la situaci\u00f3 generada per la pand\u00e8mia de Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Una de les q\u00fcestions que ha posat de relleu l\u2019estudi, dut a terme conjuntament amb la UOC, \u00e9s que els v\u00eddeos s\u00f3n \u00fatils tant per a l\u2019ensenyament presencial com a dist\u00e0ncia.<\/p>\n

En un primer moment, es va comptar amb la participaci\u00f3 de 129 alumnes del Grau en Tecnologies de Telecomunicaci\u00f3 i 423 del Grau en Inform\u00e0tica de la UOC, durant tres semestres, i de 62 estudiants de F\u00edsica de l\u2019EUSS durant un semestre. Despr\u00e9s es va aprofundir amb els estudiants de telecomunicaci\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 eren aquells en qu\u00e8 la introducci\u00f3 dels v\u00eddeos havia estat l\u2019\u00fanic canvi en l\u2019assignatura al llarg del per\u00edode observat.<\/p>\n

L\u2019estudi es va fer abans que la pand\u00e8mia obligu\u00e9s a normalitzar l\u2019ensenyament online. A la UOC no ha suposat cap canvi, per\u00f2 per a les universitats presencials ha significat un proc\u00e9s d\u2019adaptaci\u00f3 molt brusc. El fet que l\u2019EUSS ja tingu\u00e9s experi\u00e8ncia en l\u2019\u00fas dels v\u00eddeos ha estat un valor afegit. \u00abL\u2019assignatura en qu\u00e8 es va fer l\u2019estudi compta amb una bateria de v\u00eddeos que cobreix pr\u00e0cticament tot el temari\u00bb, comenta l\u2019Antoni P\u00e9rez-Navarro. I el m\u00e9s important \u00e9s que es tracta de material resultat \u00abd\u2019un proc\u00e9s d\u2019aprenentatge sobre com fer v\u00eddeos amb el temps necessari, i no gravats a corre-cuita en una situaci\u00f3 d\u2019emerg\u00e8ncia\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abNo hi ha marxa enrere\u00bb en l\u2019\u00fas dels v\u00eddeos en l\u2019ensenyament, assegura el professor. \u00abCada cop estem m\u00e9s acostumats a les eines audiovisuals. La pand\u00e8mia n\u2019ha normalitzat l\u2019\u00fas, i els m\u00f2bils n\u2019han facilitat la creaci\u00f3\u00bb, afegeix. Malgrat que la seva preparaci\u00f3 impliqui haver-hi de dedicar hores, \u00e9s un recurs que en estudis complexos, com s\u00f3n les enginyeries, s\u2019ha demostrat molt \u00fatil.<\/p>\n

A l\u2019EUSS, \u00abhi ha un professorat extraordinari que es preocupa de donar les millors eines als seus estudiants, i es poden trobar molts tipus de v\u00eddeos\u00bb, afirma P\u00e9rez-Navarro. En tot cas, \u00ab\u00e9s important tenir present que un v\u00eddeo \u00e9s un format diferent d\u2019una classe presencial i, per tant, si es fa servir, ha de ser pensat com a tal\u00bb, conclou.<\/p>\n
